Anyone played this?
Some friends in work have been raving about it for the past week but I've never played it before. Seems that you can pick up the original copy pretty cheap now.
Worth getting?
Through being incredibly lazy with the polish and wax, all my external black plastic trim areas are now white... door handles, rear bumper insert, bump strips, mirror surrounds, etc.
What's the best stuff to properly rejuvenate them? I don't want something that'll just show the white through...
Nah wasn't me, working today :( and the missus was at home all day studying... well, should've been!
Possibly Rob669, and there's a couple other Ph1's that have surfaced in the Exe area too...
In the grand scheme of things, it'll look effectively the same in the car. I went for the one without the red trim on the buttons because I thought it looked too fussy with those details...
You can just about see it there... looks pretty good.
I prefer the blue illumination, but it looks a bit odd at night, where the red one suits it better.
It's a bit of a bugger to fit though, too much wiring in too small a space!
Wouldn't trust it too much, it reckons I can do over 300 miles of in town driving on a full tank in mine... no chance!
It's considered that you have a gallon of fuel left once the light comes on, approx 30 miles, so if you're almost at the red line then 60 could be about right...
The way it's been made means that is hangs from left to right, so the weight kinda drags it down. However, it used to sit perfectly level right up in the cut-outs, so I think a firmer mounting rubber is in order. Just one of those things that I need to get around to doing!
Seriously, I am embarrassed to have to admit that the wheels attached to my car are actually mine... curbed, peeling and brake dust caked all over them, horrific. :(
Cheers peeps, I'm planning a back-to-standard overhaul in the summer but other things need doing first, like refurbishing wheels and removing hundreds of dents and scratches!
The camera's the Panasonic FZ7 - first time I've ever had to deal with shutter speeds and aperture but am slowly...
I'd imagine the 182 will be very similar to the Ph1, maybe slightly lower MPG due to more power from the same engine, but then it's also newer so 'generally' less to go wrong, so cheaper maintenance.
No, cars are inanimate objects and have no brain, feelings, emotions or opinions... don't be stupid. ;)
Only joking, cars are like women, they're stubborn buggers.
I never use calendars so doubt I'll bother buying one, but I can see Ali's / Maz's point, would probably pick one up if there was a decent shot of mine in there... some cracking pics above though.
Kinda... it loosens the dust and dirt and prevents you just slapping soapy water straight onto the bodywork and just moving the dirt around on the surface. Haven't used it myself but the impression I get is that it's best used as part of a normal wash, just first before the MF mitt gets any action.
