It's still fairly new, the missus just emptied the contents of my boot into our entrance hall, where my mitts and mf's have sat for 2 weeks...
Will try washing it on a low heat, and if it falls apart then I've an excuse to buy a new one!
I'd have thought that's as cheap as you'll get it mate unless you find one second hand at a breaker's or something.
Alternatively you can go aftermarket, ProSpeed, and get better quality that'll last longer and save money in the long run.
No need to put down other people's cars whilst praising this one!
Very nice mate, am liking the yellow bay. Was never sure about the wheels... I like them but I feel I shouldn't!
Try and keep it going if you can mate, but as you say, they're expensive to maintain to the condition that we expect of them as enthusiasts.
Old cars = old technology = more things going wrong more often. :(
Rolling roads are generally only reliable for 'before and after' figures mate, the actual readings are often pretty unreliable. Also, Renault's power figures for the 172ps engine are also pretty unreliable!
As I've already said, the seasonal Cup reduction has begun...

IMO a young driver should be limited to what kind of engine/power they are allowed to drive, until...
Sorry mate, not bottom end, just bottom part of the manifold, as far as I can understand! (Not something I know huge amounts about...)
As I say, I'm not looking to get loads out of the engine, it's just something that's available for a reasonable price that I may as well do.
I'm just...
I'm not really fussed in serious performance gains, just making the car a bit more 'drivable' through the range.
I'm buying Danlp6's bottom end off of him, which he ported, and his certainly was a quick one. I think I'll see how it feels when that's fitted and then take it from there...
I don't usually ask these questions, as I know that significant power increases are very difficult without spending large wads of cash, but I'm just curious really...
Ph1 172, with Viper Induction Kit and cold air feed and matched inlet manifold: what kind of power increase am I looking at...
