Well spotted ;) But using the completely wrong part?
They must have known - I bet they had a problem with supply and rather than rack up a huge waiting list or turn down potential orders due to silly lead times they fitted the wrong ones anyway in order to rectify it a later date.
Crazy...
That makes sense - I haven't seen the new clocks myself but she says they are nicer than the old ones......
Begs the question though - How the f**k did they manage that?!!
Anyone else had this? My missus went in today with her 1.4 16v Dynamique due to a recall. According to her they've replaced the instrument binnacle (well she actually said "the bit where it tells you how fast you're going" lol)
Any other Mk3 owners on here had this?
The Cup is a marketing excercise. It merely rode off the sucess that was the 172 Cup - A proper 'Cup' if you will.
It has no benefits over the FF apart from the fact it is cheaper. 20kg is about half a tank of fuel ffs and for that you get a sunday market interior, awful looking steering...
I used the autoglym one before I did mine last week....seemed to work quite well, but there was still some P21s wax on her from the last time judging by the way the water was still beading a little.
I usually high pressure hose the front to get rid of any grit etc and they spray the whole...
And the load on the engine saps a few ponies into the bargain.......
I chose an FF over the Cup for lots of reasons and ABS wasn't one of them. Only thing ABS has is the ability to sense a skid before your brain will have had time to process the input and react - so in theory it can reduce...
I have a 1gb nano (was all that was available when the first came out) and it's a lovely bit of kit it really is. There may be players with more function but the ipod does everything I need and is a doddle to use. The fact it's an absolutely stunning piece of design is an added bonus.
My friend has an Elise 160S (later MVA model with 150bhp). Very quick, but not really geared for flying at high speeds in straightline. Should have monstered my 172 on a dual carriageway but it didn't.
Round bends - forget it. Can't even get near him. Corners flatter, harder and faster than...
I'd offer to do it if I actually knew what I was doing. lol.
I'm learning as I go along atm. One thing I have realised (as I've seen first hand how much effort is required to remove swirls) you'd have to try pretty hard to f**k your paint up with it.
lol.... Trouble with bikes is they're a bit 'fiddly'. Where can I get 4" pads and a 4" backing platre from?
Some pics of the job anyway.....
Wash - Cheapo Car Plan shampoo
Clay - Meguiars Quik Clay
Wash
Dry - PakShak Waffle Weave
PC - Megs #83 on bonnet, roof, rear quarter and doors on...
Sound, thanks Rich.
So I need a 4 inch pad then... thought as much. Do I need a different weight for the PC? I'm sure it says 6" pad only.
Oh and by the way - I introduced my mate to the AG twins on his all black Honda Fireblade - He's gobsmacked!!
Gave it a quick go - It's bloody hard work - Removed some swirls, although not all which proved to me that you'd have to try pretty bloody hard to damage you paint with a PC!! Now I have had a go, I'm doing my missus's black Mk3 Clio next weekend - Will post the results.
Really pleased with...
Spanking new 197! Lucky boy! They may not be any quicker, but overall it's a better car imho.
I saw a Racing Blue 197 in the flesh in the car park at the BTCC at Donnington. Have to admit it looked a lot better than I thought. Bloody lovely in fact.
Nice pics. There were more crashes than racing. I was there too.... saw a couple of Clios in the car park..... 25,000 CTR's and a similar amount of LCR's.... common as muck I tell thee.
Nice pics. I was there. There were more safety car laps than racing in quite a few of the races. Good to watch though. Smash on the grid in the third race was hilarious.
I saw a 1.2 in the carpark with a CS sticker on too...
