Since when has a Rover 200 with a Halfords body kit had class?
LMFAO. And they are one of the few cars that are actually worse than the Clio for build quality!! Truly shocking cars. They do go and handle OK. But the brakes are s**t.
That's one of the first ph 2's.... there were only a handful on a Y plate. As I said, it's not impossible, but you'll struggle. There are lots of ph1's for that money and less and you have a much wider market to aim at.
For your budget, a phase 1. You'll struggle to find a decent ph2 for £5k whereas that money would buy you a mint ph1.
ph1 are lighter but have less 'toys' (no xenon, climate etc). In fact think ph1 Gti-6 v's ph2 GTi-6. Both cracking cars in there own right.
.
I posted a for sale thread and the first comment was 'nice but too expensive'. lol. It was priced as the second cheapest 53 plate than any other on autotrader and had less miles than all but one. It was also £800 cheaper than Parkers valuation. But still too expensive for Cliosport. lol.
That is f**king awful. Needs Cup splitter and turinis. ;)
Fair play to him for doing it though. It'll be fast when it's finished. Mind you the male ejacualtion leaves the penis with the same velocity as round from an enfield .303 rifle......... But that doesn't mean I'd want to drive around...
You can't say it's better. Handling is entirely subjective.
Michael Schumacher probably thinks his team mates car handles like a bag of s**t..... but it will obviously work for him.
I like the way my 172 squirms and bucks around - My LCR driving buddy considers it dangerous. lol.
And if you open your eyes you'll see he has a fair few more posts than that under his belt... ;)
I have no experience of any of the tuning companies that flaunt their wares on here but I have noticed that Cliosport, are in general, a very fickle bunch!!
I may start Laingo's Automotive...
There are people on here who could change a water pump in thier sleep. Ever thought that it might be the way you as the question the results in you not getting replies? lol.
nd if all Clio ownrz r chavs den dat meks u 1 2. Innit.
Is there an easy (read 'cheap') way of unlocking stereos?
My dad has the CD player out of my old 306 D-Turbo in his car and has lost the unlock code and Pug want £25 for the privelege!! Bloody stereo isn't worth that!!
But be warned about BT - they said I could get 6.2 Meg...... doesn't get any higher than 2.2. And the BT hub is cheap and f**king horrible looking. lol. Gonna bin it and put my Netgear router back in - it's about half the size!
My lap top is on a wireless connection and records pertty similar...
Yup... accoustic means a bit more than noise or volume.
Remember that crazy french guy made a custom feed to move the 'acoustic valve' (his words) into a better position behind the head light? Crazy!
He reckoned he saw 10bhp after a remap with that setup too. lol.
Oh and I'm getting some of these
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3015
(need boot space for golf clubs and I'm too lazy to fit anything else before you all go off on one.) and wandered what would be a good amp to power them (8ohm impedance)
MP3 compatible, iPod maybe. Have got £200 to spend. Been looking the Alpine units which look nice, but don't really have a clue.
Cheers.
Oh and I wouldn't mind keeping the remote control and the display if possible.
The renaultsport kit requires a bit of jiggery pokery with the wiring loom to work correctly - Nick Hill has it pretty much sussed - He has it working in a mk2 172.
The group N ECU/remap really sharpens the throttle response - opens the throttle much quicker than the std ECU.
