Thats the first one I thought of... Daewoo actually bought the design from Vauxhall!!
EDIT - just seen Cat171 has already posted as much - Still shocking though - Talk about out dated deaign!!
I was quoted £350 for rear discs and pads by Renault. Parts were £180. Fecking rip off.
Got genuine Renault discs and Tar-Ox pads fitted by Nick @ Hillpower for £210.... Which is £140 cheaper than Renault!!
I think MATT BLACK has some engines for sale.... Would be worth buying on and letting Ben work jis magic. If you're loaded that is. Which sadly I am not. :(
As a side note, I had my aircon regassed by a mate - It wasn't bad before but it's MILES colder now it's been refreshed. Well worth the money imho.
And as for the 2 days a year it's hot in this country..... are we not into about the 5th or 6th week of weather above 20 degrees??!
It's been...
And you obviously wouldn't know sarcasm if it bit you on the arse..... or at least you might if you took your head out of it for a second ;)
Does the 'King' and the ';) ' not give it away a little?
Liquid Yellow or Racing Blue.
Black Gold is a nice colour, but it hides the lines of the car making it mainly indistinguishable from a 1.2
Arctic Blue is a nice coulour, but very common and very similar to that of the 172 Cup.
Titanium Silver is just a plain silver, also seen on Toyota...
LOL!! Just thought - Have 172 Cups got illuminated vanity mirrors on both sides? Could be another place they shaved some weight!!
And yes it's true.... my lardy 172 has a 13 amp socket in the back :(
So he guessed at the weight of the windscreen, and you put words into his mouth as to how heavy the lot would be..... I'm not taking that as reliable evidence, sorry.
And pmsl at you actually ringing them up!! LOL!!:approve: :D :D :D
Fair enough, but it's usually only people who don't have it say that it's useless. We've had four or five weeks of consistently warm muggy weather - CC has been a god send.
Oh and why be dis honest? To sell cars. A bit like the bucket seats and roll cage options that where coming for the 172...
156 actually. ;) Although mines 184 bhp and about 25 kg lighter than stock, going by Marks weights lol. ;)
I don't have a chip on my shoulder - I've already said that I'm just interested. 90kg is a lot of weight and a first glance the items on that list didn't realy seem to add up to much...
It just interests me, that's all. They were shrewd enough to sell the 182 Cup off the back of the sucess of the 172, without actually doing anything remarkable to the 182 other than making it cheaper. I mean who'd have though that Renault were capable of such things? And who'd be gullible enough...
Undo your drivers window a bit. Put your thumb and fore finger either side of the glass. Can you imagine them making it much thinner? Enough to save kg's of weight?
