LOL, the ammount of money he'll be spending on rattle cans will end up more than it would to hire a gun, compressor and buy your paint, still epic though
IIRC steve doesnt drive this like he stole it and seems to be quite sensible
I will be attending the next meet just to see this epic monster go, may catch you down teeside one wednesday if you ever get down there
My bro had a 340bhp ibiza cupra and that thing was mental, so I can imagine...
i tried to get a sneaky pic of the RB covered in seeds :rasp: thought it was a bit harsh though, hope the car is ok
Lee - your car seemed very very quick, good work and clearly a well set up car
I was looking into getting one after the 172 gave up on me, they really aren't nice cars, the interior is something I couldn't live with everyday, handling seemed to be utter garbage (standard mind) and the power wasn't impressive
However: when tuned you can make them into very quick...
For starters Id get yourself some coilovers, these cars look a hell of a lot better and more purposeful when dropped
Then i'd start with the little touches
Colour coded exterior handles
ph2 side strips
Ph2 rear lights
Silvervisions all round
Cup Spoiler
Slightly smaller aerial
Clear Side...
65mm custom rear springs, front adjusted around 90-100mm, had a white line rear ARB aswell so didnt handle too shabby
Was on vmaxx coilovers and rear shocks
Ive not long since sold mine, hope you dont mind me posting a couple of pics
This is the first rallye I had in cherry red, it had been fully refurbed (respray, fresh set of stickers, steelies, carpets etc, I never got many propper pics of it when it was done but it was awesome
Ive seen this thing go from when Ed had it, a very quick and capable car,
you will be hard pushed to improve the set up that car already has, the next step I'd say would be a nice set of jenvey's and some newman ph4 cams
The whine alone is tollerable, but when you put an exhaust on the whole package just comes together into a crazy little noise,
its easy to get annoyed at the noise on those video's but when you're launching it around some country lanes its awesome ;)
Cheers mate, I loved it like that, I think my favourite combo wouldve been 2118's in anthracite with the same stance
In the 2118 pics the car is fully stripped out with only one seat, no door cards, spare wheel, jacks etc just a carpet, dash and sound deadening
Cheers mate, no I dont have it anymore, have a mini cooper s now :rasp:
Anyway heres a few other choices, my car was an iceburg ph1 so may give you some indication
(some crap pics, and not so crap)
thought id have a post up as ive had my MCS for around 3-4 weeks now
I have to say the car is in a completely different league to the clio's quality wise and the drive is a lot easier.
I dont see my car as a hot hatch more of a warm hatch that can keep up with all the hot hatch boys given the...
thought i'd add mine to your little 'b**ching' session
First time I lowered it running 65mm custom rear springs and vmaxx coilovers
Fully stripped rear running 195/45/15's
16's with stripped rear
On vmaxx all round another inch lower on the front (rake baby)...
there was some issue's with my centre exhaust mount/rubber as it too was out of position
Sorry I havent commented on this thread for a while, my car's engine died so Ive since moved onto a mini cooper s, too my delight BTB want £1000+ to do an exhaust on that :eek::eek:
Anyway once mine...
does this help ;)
Look awesome and they're the exact wheels that are on the black one now :) they're really heavy so if you like performance dont buy them, stick with the f1's they're much lighter
The thing is that will only make it look level, it will still look stupid as euro wheels + wheel arch gap = FAIL!
Get some coilovers and do the job properly :rasp:
