Get a firm grip and just pull upwards. You wont snap it off if you get a good grip and just pull up as hard as you can.

Hi guys, quick question. The car hasn't been started in two days, I start it today and leave it idle for about ten minutes without moving it. When I return I found all the stones around the exhaust have gone darker as if they are wet? Is this right? Is there a problem?

Meaning the Pipercross is a better piece of kit?

It does sound expensive but you can't compare it to the old owner, you have a different occupation, more miles, different uses etc. Just shop around.
