heat the lower coil at the point the spiral goes upwards.. let the car gently settle as the coil bends.. a bit at a time until you get the height you require.
let it cool naturally.. you will need a couple of plumbers kevlar...
Hi Nick, yes, the squat does have an effect, but it is minimal.
the ap22 isnt meant to replace bolt on timing gear or RR. It is a means of reference. (And as such, is extremely accurate as said).
squat at the rear causes an increase in timing, the transition to flat can cause a...

yep, agreed, the throttlebody from the 172 will be the most appropriate by far.
and, yes, if you are going to do it,, do it right first time.
The other thing to note.. the gt turbo clutch plate appears to fit the 172 clutch, I am trying one this weekend, so no worries there (there are...

Hi Chun,
It would certainly be the neatest.
having to change the pistons means removing the engine anyways.. its a simple matter to strip the block and have it drilled / tapped / cleaned..
Also, whilst it is out.. the head HAS to come off to change the pistons.. might as well remove...
1. getting the driving position just right and feeling the car talk to you..
2. the look on the face of the 911 driver on the m1 the other day
3. spotting a speed camera before it spots you !
4. Continental tyres and their language (but not with the turbo )
5. open country roads at...

it would mean removing gallery plugs to enable swarf clean out though ??.
do you want details for both methods ?.
Joe.

tried the parts on the 172 engine today (I now have a spare mk1 complete unit )
will be able to supply pics of what needs moving / removing.. its fairly minor. also, the...

I coonsidered this, but I wouldnt do this to a 172..
