when my sisters 1.2 16v clio was called out to by the AA, the AA man removed it and said it was rubbing on the wiring loom (didnt damage it luckily), it seemed like he knew they caused trouble.

i had a rough cast alloy 106 rallye inlet manifold polished up, cost me about 30-50 quid i think by a lad on SSC. (yes im a tart)
can see on the inlet tracts that its a rough casting similar to the renaultsport inlet..
but why would you want the exhaust manifold polishing?!?!

well you can get 195/40 16's which are about 80ish quid BUT are near enough the same rolling radius as a set of 15s so wont loose out much on performance whereas the 17s will be killing acceleration. and more noticebly, ingear acceleration like 50-80 etc..
but obv if your swapping they will...
if your after buying one of the 2 id buy the v6.. EVERYONE looks and stares at them thinking wow!

i was running nearly double my engines standard power for a year, did lots of drag runs etc and when i stripped my engine down everything was fine
even had the muppets at top gear performance put that full shot in at 2k rpm on the rolling road and it didnt blow up.
i personally wouldnt spend the same money, to buy a car thats 2 year older, no warranty, same performance, more common (in my area), no xenons, no climate control, no cruise control, etc JUST because its got a bit better build quality..*
*unless it was the white JDM spec jap one cos theyre...
