At least you're not injured that's main thing. No amount of money can suffice life. Depending on how my car settlement goes will determine how much I put into my Clio. If they write it off and pay me out I'll use any extra money spare after I repair it myself to go towards upgrades..

I deffo suffer from this too. I plan something and then think while im at that I might as well get this done, and this, and then might as well add that on too. Before you know it a simple task might end up being something very costly! Not on the same scale as you though lol!
