All the F4R engines are interchangeable in the Mk2 clios. However don't expect any performance benefit from putting a 182 engine in a 172, and so on. The upper inlet manifold has to be kept with the car if you're putting a Ph1 engine in a Ph2 and vice versa IIRC, because of the cable/electric...
