He got black flagged but before he came round to the pit entry the clio above stuffed it and it was all red flagged, lol. Saw him get an ear-bashing from the marshal as he pulled off though.
That throbber in the puma was on for a shunt at some point too - he got black flagged in the first session for almost rear ending someone whilst trying to intimidate them into letting him past.
Gtrnav used a biscuit tin for his dash on the cliopreza.
+1 for having a portable radio in the car rather than f**king around trying to mount something on the car.
But +1000000 for trailering.
I feel it is important to state;
Basically, it's 200bhp full stop, because unless you're balls out in 5th (6th on these?), you're always going to have 200bhp.
I don't get why people keep comparing the gear change speeds to a manual box. No s**t it's quicker, even the worst DCT in the world is quicker than manual shifting, doesn't mean it's good for a DCT.
I still think that the Trophy is worth seriously investigating.
When I do it, I mark where the needles sit at their lowest positions on a piece of masking tape stuck on the dial face. Afterwards, I push the needles down so that they sit on those marks. The 0 marks are lower than the first marks printed on the dial faces which is why it's important to mark...
The stepper motors have end stops on them. Turn the motor spindles all the way anticlockwise until they come up against the end stop. Then put the needles on half way up the gauges (e.g. 80mph, 4000rpm etc) and push them down to your 0 marks (Which of course you marked off beforehand... didn't...
15000000% stick a camera in the car, on motion record. Or have one poking out your window looking at said car.
Mobius is tiny enough to be concealed (have it down low, looking slightly up), and in the configuration app you can set it to record with the indicator light off.
LEDs only work one way around.
If you turn it around, it will work manually but not when the doors are opened.
This is because the current flows in opposite directions depending on which of the two methods is used (doors/manual)
Easiest thing to do is buy an interior light unit with a map...
The power flows in opposite directions when you open the door/turn it on manually. You can either use a bridge rectifier, two LEDs in opposing polarity, choose which way you want it round, or upgrade to the map light.
I agree, that looks like it'll bend. I'd get the rose joints as close to the mounting holes as possible.
I never really looked at getting rid of the aircon on the clio, but is there anything stopping you just making up a flat bar that bolts up directly?
