You can have the wheels as far as I'm concerned! They're from my 1.2 so I'll have to test them on the 172 first just to make sure they clear etc, but should be fine.
I was thinking of ASWMC - Wiscombe, Werrington, Tregrehan, Castle etc
I've got some old 15s with tyres on (can't remember what, might stick them on my clio for a laugh and see how bad they are) you can smoke up for demo runs at Autosport, I'll be there on the Thursday if you want me to bring them. Although seeing as you're ASWMC, I presume you're fairly local?
No...
I'm fairly sure I've seen all of them sideways at various roundabouts/McDonalds carparks in Plymouth at some point.
I'd take an E30 for the Patrick Snijers experience, but the rest don't really appeal.
Oh, the volvo pops and bangs like a motherfucker. Flames and s**t.
I'm on about the clio, decatted with the RSTuner map and I've never had a single pop from it.
Aaah, you own ATX. Known that car for a while now, started off in life as a 1.4. I remember it when it was all the colour of the engine bay, lol.
Can't help with the issue myself, but it definitely sounds rough. Get it into Dan's shop :)
What actual, tangible difference does it make though? How is it actually any worse to justify the loss in value? It's not had a 1.2 engine dropped in it.
The amount of clios running round with the wrong engine in is probably huge. It's like when people put a cup gearbox in a Ph1, it's not the...
Ta folks. I already have the 780, but if it's not worth it then I won't go ripping it all apart! Looking back it'd need to go watercooled as well because my air cooler wouldn't fit with an extra card.
Wait a while for 980tis to go down then :)
That induction kit looks a lot like a start button to me ;)
To be honest, on a 1.2, it's not really worth the hassle of worrying whether it's sucking hot or cold air. I had a K&N on mine and to be honest I didn't care if it was costing me a couple of BHP, I just had it because I like induction...
Problem is that you still need to use the key. Which completely negates any purpose in having it.
But if you want to do it, then go ahead, why not.
Sadly I can't tell you which wires you need, but best of luck.
There's a little rubber bung on the two outlets of the motor, which is supposed to shuttle back and forth between the front and rear washers depending on which way the motor's running. It tends to swell up and block one of the sides off. You can trim it down if you take the motor apart. I'll see...
