2. That's the stalk control connector. You can get an adapter from connects2 which connects that to the remote output of your new stereo, if it has one.
They're Halogen projectors anyway. They weren't really meant to have HIDs in them in the first place, it's just that they don't blind people when you fit HIDs in them.
So Halogen will be fine.
I don't go much on the new china era Volvos, there's a lot of people having problems with the new XC90 that I've noticed.
My experience of other volvos is mainly 740s, 850s and a 440. Which is a bit of an unkind comparison.
The petrol volvos are rapid but drink fuel, diesels are nearly as rapid but with sensible fuel economy.
If I was a rational person I'd have gone with a D5. But I'm not so I didn't.
