I downgraded my 197 to a Cup. With the mods i broke off my 197 i pocketed about 5-6k. Was going for a phase 1, but as mentioned some near/over ten years old, meh picked up a 47k cup full RSH for a smidge over 4k

There's adjutsters at the top of each headlight that points the beams up and down. You've probably knocked the patterns out of alignment. All mot stations have a pattern tester. So your lights can be set up on these. Only a ten min job!! Go to kwikfit, slip a mech a tenner ;)
Dont doubt it for a minute, all the German stuff is pretty good tbh! I'd never adjust it though, i'd find the set up and leave it, so it would be a waste for me. Only use the car across country (birchdown country ;)) That said if a secondhand set of KW's come up i wouldnt turn them down
The KTR ones are OK for the money by all accounts, but you do get what you pay for. I'd recommend any of the TUV German stuff, H&R KW etc. I've had three sets of H&R on various Clios (172 Cup 182 197) and you can't go wrong. Depends on budget tbh!!
Bang on. I've had three sets of H&R coilovers on Clios. 172 Cup, 182 and 197. Just 'downgraded' ;) back to a 172 cup again. As soon as a second hand set come available i WILL be getting them again! Bloody awesome from day to day use!
Get the beam pattern set up? Might be all to c**k, any MOT plce should do it, not a big job lol. FYI i found 6000k w**k. Changed to 5000k much better. 4300k is oem set up on most cars
Whats your budget? Early ones could suffer AC faults (not working) but the dealers seemed to have rid the niggles with recalls. Main one is the wear on the Recaros (if fitted) Very common for the side bolsters to go. They all 'kangaroo' when cold (rough running, bit jumpy etc) Also brakes can...

Gear knob, think so. I've ordered a new Renault one. Think the old one needs butchering off, hopefully the new one slips on OK. Steering wheel, only ones off Clios MK2 will fit (maybe older Meganes too). I'm going for a smaller aftermarket.
The petrol thing was a factor in me selling mine. I only use it to and from the gf's, and it was starting to piss me off putting £60+ of fuel in it every 10 days or so. So sold up and got a £4k Cup. £45 a tank and 38mpg so far. Yes its gruff and a bit lairy but meh, my bank account is now 6K...
So the difference between the Espace box, and phase 1 172 box is the intakes?
