Earth strap off the battery to chassis leg. The earthing point on the chassis can get rusty etc. Check that? Make sure the contact point is clean and tight

I tried once on my old cup and it ended up in FAIL.
Its bonded to the roof with stickaflex, also the grab handles are a mare to remove if you want to reuse them!
Hmmmmm ive had a 172 Cup, 182 Cup packed (near enough?), now a 172 Cup again. Your splitting hairs imo. There is no major difference in power at all. Imo the 182's dont feel to pull or rev as freely as a 172. Are you saying that every 182 has 10bhp more than a 172? They dont. Simples ;)
Airbag i reckon will be the connectors under the front seats. Very common for them to flag up a fault, and bring the light on. Basically crap connections, they cut off the plugs and soldered the wires together.
