Might be cheaper if you get a second hand gearbox get it rebuilt by them and then get it fitted and sell your old one on as needs rebuilding

What do you clean the exhausts up with, I've used AG engine degreaser/cleaner to get thick of it off but need something proper to bring them up like new?
Have a look in the Traders sections mate, a lot of the specialists have the prices for cambelt changes and services in their sections as a sticky thread.
When fastening the new cable tie in place, cut the excess quite close to the gear stick.
Sounds obvious but the original on mine wasn't and the inch or so of cable tie eventually put a hole in my gaiter due to the sharp edge on it
