ok so the clip on the engine cover of my new 172 is busted. The bit that you lift to get to the oil filler cap. anyone got a fix for it? or will i need a new one? can I just a get a new "flap" or will I need a whole new engine cover?

fair enough about the owners history...makes sense I guess..just double check the names on the log book... full service history on one of these would be quite hard to find i should think...so just check everything you can to see what sort of condition it's in.
