Yea, Mk2 Clio 1.2s had Vented Discs - which have Girling calipers. Mk1 1.2s had solid discs.. so had the Bendix calipers.

Theres a supercharged Dimma around - that silver one! Didnt Dimma do a couple?

Its a bit weird for new cars to not have SH. Id consider older cars no problems - receipts etc.. are often a better substitute. You can generally get a good idea from looking at the car to see whether or not its been looked after properly. [Edited by Daz on 8/22/2005 1:17:43 PM]...

V6 spoiler is nice? Think thats different to the normal Cup one.. Trophys have them if I remember!

1.2 will be Bendix (my 1.2 was anyway) - solid discs. Lucas Girling has vented discs. 16v/Williams is Girling for example.

The whole thing looks odd.. the plug is red.. it shouldnt be.. and there should be two plugs. Do you have anything else behind the stereo?

Some bad adapter. You should have two looms going to the car.. one for speakers, the other for power etc.. Trace them if you can and get rid of that.. then itll just plug into most stereos!

Ph1/2 does look mint with 16v/Williams Bonnet, arches and bumper tho.. very aggressive! Mk1 Phase3 were also voted most reliable Clio.. which is something.. Miss my 1.2 sometimes, hehe.

Yours is a Phase3 tho.. Im not convinced a 1.4 is a step up really.. found my 1.2 DIET engine OK. Itd be quicker, sure.. but not really a step.

Id be looking at a Trophy if I wanted a new Clio.. they do look the part and by all accounts, perform mint!

Trophy has less toys.. so if you want climate, xenons etc.. its no point in getting a Trophy, heh.

There are a few types.. 1.2s will have Bendix style calipers.. which only take solid discs.
