hes saying that it leans the fuel off to much on some renaults, bringing the engine management light on, which requires a visit to renault to have it reset on there diagnostic tool called clip! and £20 is chaep!!!

as is the 172 one! charcoal canister is its name?! renault will call it something stupid like vapour recylce if thats what you mean? go to renault and ask for a charcoal cannister and they will sort it for you!

well you wont get it done at may legit garages cash in hand! me and a mate from work do a few, i have got all the tools, we charge £100 plus the bits for a 16V! little bit more if its a 172 with a bloody annoying aux belt! i get the cambelt kit, aux belt and plugs for the rear of the engine that...

dont bother wasting your money mate! there a gimmick, as they say you dont get nothing for nothing!! they are a waste of time and effort in my experiences!

Depends on spec a/c etc! will be quite dear, not sure what the cambelt kits retail at £150 roughly? plus aux belt, around 3.5 hrs to do from memory, and its £55 plus vat where i am so you will soon be in late 300-400 with the vat! depends where you go!

yes they come charged, guessing around £40 roughly! depends where you go, make sure when you change it you remove the negative first and put it on last! ignition and everything turned off! may be worth popping to a agarage to make sure it is charging unless you have a mate with a multimeter?!

is it worth getting the tools made they arent that dear to buy and if your going to be using them a lot! snap on do them, you will be ok if you have done them before, (cambelts that is).

Ideally put a charger on it for an hour or so! if you havent got a cherger try jumping it off another car or good battery, just make sure you get the leads the right way around!!

Apparently, this was the first 172 registered in the uk, ( i did say apparently, may be crap!), it was the salesmans company car at work went out in it a few times, used to think it was the knackers, it was a silver 172 W203 RGM, always wondered where it got to! ;)

Very possibly a flat battery! it may well have enough power to run bthe lights etc, but there is a big drain when you try and crank it! try and charge it for an hour!

Heres another cracker! look at the quality spacing of the rear wheels, i don't know how you can tell it from a real one, :S worrying thing is it aint far away either! luckily i have never seen it...

There ok! did one yesterday! but without the tools there a no no! if hes an engine man and tell him the crank pulley is floating he will understand! Some fords are the same!

Its a load of tosh, if you never checked your tyre pressures they would eventually go flat, no doubt watchfrog would blame michelin! so if you never oil the catch its going to stick one day!!
