I wasn't impressed with the lack of them. Virtually all those pics were taken on my first session. You'll notice there's no passenger in all the tight corner ones. According the guy in the MCS who followed me for a while I was on three wheels quite often, obviously the photographer wasn't in...
I kept it on for a change recently when I did Donington. Not once did it intervene. I was three wheeling round corners and driving as hard as I normally do on track. If it had been cutting in I'd have probably turned it off as usual, but there's really no need. If you drive smoothly it just...
Best thing to do is ask Wayne mate. I just know that he looked at lots of different ways of doing it to avoid drilling the frames, but couldn't come up with one that was both safe and positioned the harness properly.
It's pretty obvious when they go, the damper body will be soaked in oil and everytime you hit a pot hole the wheel just gets smacked up to the bump stop making a nasty noise.
I'm pretty sure Wayne looked at lots of ways but the only safe one was to drill those holes.
Once he's done with them he's just going to put little black plastic bungs in the holes, you'll never notice them.
He's using XP Home, there aren't different versions of that, although I think HP have a slightly messed with installation which requires a HP supplied CD also.
It's only those used in a corporate enviroment where there are. Stuff in the MSDN doesn't even require a product key for example...
It's a fact. All the CDs are the same, except for some coming with the service pack slipstreamed into the install. It's the Product key that matters.
I used the same XP/2000/2003 Server/Exhange 2003 CDs for all my installations, just a different key.
The product key you have can only be...
Yeah, it's not like the old NT ones where you could read the book, learn the book and pass the exams, since 2000 you have had to have good hands on experience.
Personally I just blag it all still.:o And they keep giving me more money and nice bonuses.
It is, but there's a big difference in what's good and what's comfortable. It's 100% composed and stays nicely in contact with the tarmac, it doesn't crash into pot holes or roll around through the bends. It's nicely damped, unlike a CTR for example, but it is stiff, for an out the factory...
That's the only reason I was doing it, and to get some letters to put on my CV. I've been doing the job 13 years so it's not like I'm new to I.T. Support lol
Welcome to ClioSport.
I had a Cup packed 182 then moved to the Trophy. For me the Trophy is better, but it's compromised in that it's no where near as comfortable. You need to try them both and decide what's most important to you.
Both cars are fantastic both on road and track.
I was doing the courses a few years back before the company I worked for went under. The first one was 3 days and the rest were all 5 days. I got 5 into the 7 or 8 courses I think.
I did it with Computacenter who were excellent. There was only a few of us on the course and none of the...
I've got pretty much the same setup as Rich. I could really use a decent in between lens as the kit lens isn't much cop for normal use as it has next to no zoom, where as the 90 - 300 has to much. Here's a a few pics from the weekends track day...
I had a Magnex on my 172 and never really had any complaints. They are a bit heavy though, and the mounts on the Clio aren't really up to much so getting it fitted properly took 2 trips to Demon Tweeks.
Neither will do anything for performance. Has used to have a Magnex on his 1.2 and it was pretty quiet until he had a custom decat and centre piece made up.
It's more down to which you like the look of if it's only the back box.
Brave man Dan, I've not tried that since my first car and I made a right mess of it. lol
Keep us posted, you could make a few quid on the side if you do a good job.
Good luck.
