yup! you need a good socket set, remove the 2 from the protector bar behind the rear seats, then get a T40 torx bit iirc and remove the bolt from between the seats, the other gold one is just a locating stud. Also good muscle as it was a b*****d to get those first 2 bolts out as they are...

Well spoke to John and his normal 172 seats have the same thing, but he's sure they are not heated so thinks it might be something to do with the side airbags.
