Just another note, bigger turbo doesn't necessarily mean more power. It's more of a case of more boost pressure added with correctly set up fueling to match = more power. A bigger turbo is likely to produce more lag at low revs and more power at higher revs, possibly out of your useable rev...
The R5 used a small Garrett T2. what you have to think of is the amount of exhaust gases that the engine is going to put out to spin the turbo up. Although yours is a 1.2 and the R5 is a 1.4, it's only an 8v and doesn't rev as high as your 16v that I would imaging revs upto 7k?
Megane maybe a...
Not sure on the layout of the 1.6 16v engine layout. Try and post up a pic of the bay.
With 1*2's, the CAF is normally run from the polwer grille or from the passenger side fog light.
182 wheels run a 205 width tyre, 172's run a 195 IIRC so there should be no reason why not, it's only 10mm. I've considered putting 195's on my 182 wheels to see how different it felt considering how much cheaper they are
Can always try a simple 90' bend and fit a seperate breather. large bends can be had off ebay for less than £20. I bought a 100mm dia 45' bend for £16.
Using standard shocks you need to use the spacer to lift it off the spring hat, I can't comment on fitting them to Spax shocks. But if Compbrake designed it to use the spacer, they did it for a reason. Give them a call, I've already put up their details.
The top nut IIRC is 27mm, but I had to...
Thats what I thought when I first looked at them, so didn't fit them. What a mistake, it creaked and knocked like the wheels were about to fall off. Gave compbrake a call and they put me right. Fitted the spacers on top of the spring hat and never looked back, handles lovely with them on.
Good...
Sam, see the 2 stepped spacers on the left of the pic that KAM has circled, you put them under the topmount so it slides and sits into the spherical bearing, place the spacer from your 1st pic under it so it spaces the topmount off from the spring hat. Then you can wind on the big nuts in the...
Give Compbrake a call as they can provide all the bits your missing and post them to you in a couple of days. Then contact KAM and ask for a reinbursement on the money you've had to spend on parts that SHOULD come in the kit.
I've posted the the size of the 'o'rings and washers in my thread so...
TBH it looks spot on! Maybe change the fog surrounds and splitter to Carbon if you're looking for something to change. Maybe re-furb your speedlines to white or anthracite.
But personnally I would leave it as it is
Hello and welcome, as said where abouts are you? theres a few of us lerking round this way so keep your eyes peeled.
PS. Donna2292, I think I've seen your car round the Prettygate area? would that be you?
I have fitted the Compbrake mounts and as said, they're awesome for the money. Loctite will only stop the lock ring from loosening. I didn't bother with it, I checked it after every drive and re-tightened if needed till after about a week they stayed tight. Put a bit of paint over a bit of...

Have a read through my thread, may be of some help as I had a bit of trouble fitting mine.
You need 2x rubber washers and 1x rubber 'o'ring per top mount. I didn't get any but called Compbrake (01772 696700) direct...
Look from the pasenger side through under the airbox towards the junction of the gearbox and block. But it's fairly difficult to see unless you know what you're looking for.
Haiving trouble with it starting by any chance? Mine turns over and doesn't fire occasionally so try and give this...

Is this the Mark Fish prepped 5 you looked at? Looks almost original CUP spec with a few alterations. If it's been played with by Mark then it is generally gonna be a good one. 5's are an ideal track car, but you've got to remember that if you drive...
TBH, what JMS are offering sounds ideal to me. I would like the option to carry on tuning of the RS-Tuner, but don't have a laptop and not particularly great when it comes to IT. So having the benefits of an RS-Tuner and not having to do it myself, and not having the costs of other tuners...
Welcome, your clio looks really clean especially with the wheels. Waht are they? they look like the Prime racing wheels.
Just noticed the steering wheel too. Nice touch
The vacumm pipe that connects to the acoustic vavle? There is nothing on the airbox assembly that you could remove that would bring a warning light on. Chances are you've knocked something during fitting it as its such a tight fit. Haven't has any troubles with mine
