It gets easier each time you fit them. As I'm tight I've had the same silver vision and blue vision bulbs in my 172, 182 and Trophy, as well as doing a couple of other peoples for them. I've got the hang of swapping bulbs now. lol
Took me hours to do that. That was a full wash, then preparation with HD cleanse followed by waxing. You can wax it as often as you like, it just adds layers to it. Zymol isn't cheap though, and I reckon there are plenty of other waxes, or wax/sealant combos that would give the same sort of...
I used Zymol Titanium wax on mine last time: http://www.rapidpants.com/images/cars/trophy/index.htm
I'd not use Mer on a new car as it's a polish rather than a wax.
I'm quite liking the Megs NXT Wax that I got my old man for his birthday, that goes on really easily and gives a good shine...
Nice one, you won't regret your choice.
As far as running in goes I took it really easy on my 172, the 182 I went a little harder and the Trophy I drove fairly normally from new. Although I did a track day with 900 miles on the clock!! Best thing to do is to warm it up and drive it normally...
I reckon there's f**k all on experts exchange, and it just takes your search and makes it look like they have the answer.
If you do get a password and username, please share it with me. lol
Yeah, you lose the display and stalk controls.
I ordered the cables that were supposed to work with an Alpine headunit but found they didn't. I emailed incartec who confirmed they were working on ones for the newer Clios and CarAudioDirect refunded me and updated there website to show it would...
You've been told correctly, the adaptors don't work on 05 Clios. The easiest way to tell is to look at your Renault headunit and see if it has the words "Update List" printed on it. If it does then it's the latest model and the adaptor won't work.
Apparently the fix mentioned in this thread was applied to all cars at the factory after May 2005, so it's more likely a problem with the connector or the sensor itself.
Mine appears to be the connector so they are swapping the sensor out today.
For me the most noticable difference was it felt lighter with quick changes of direction, I always thought the 182 with Cup packs felt like it had a higher level of grip when cornering though.
It all depends what you want from the car.
I've owned a 172, 182 and now have the Trophy. Out of the 3 the Trophy is by far the best for me. I've also driven a few 172 Cups and reckon that's a close second to the Trophy. Both offer a similar driving experience.
Of course, if you want older...
I was busy playing NFSMW.
I noticed it tonight when I got home. Bubbles called as I was putting the car in the garage, so the keys were out and I was just about to get out, as I was on the phone I sat there pushing buttons. I was a bit surprised that the window opened with the keys on my lap. lol
Because they seem incapable of fixing a faulty engine temerature sensor fault. It's back there again tomorrow, 5th time lucky.
Sometimes they can't reproduce it, then when they can it shows nothing on the CLIP. They are working on pure luck I reckon.
At least it's running nice and smooth...
I don't f**king believe this now. They've had the car all day and have just called to say they have confimed what I told them, but nothing shows up on the CLIP. They reckon it must be a dodgy connection on the sensor so now I have to take the car back to them tomorrow as they don't have one in...
Renault Birmingham had this slightly modified Clio 3 1.4 Dynamique in the showroom this morning. Just a couple of additions but it really did look good.
It had different alloys, an additional front splitter, rear splitter, spoiler, Sebring exhaust and skirts.
Provided your existing headunit isn't one of the very latest models, which it shouldn't be in a 172, then they'll work fine.
I purchased them for my Trophy, but they made a change to the way it works in early 2005 so the adaptors no longer work.
I was stood a long way away and on full zoom with a 300mm lens, not easy to keep a steady hand at that distance. I was down at the chicane at that point watching the last round of bikes, nutters the lot of them.
