To add to what Robs sensibly said its all very well some people saying they can insure it in their moms name but you miss out on No claims bonus and I doubt you want to be on your parents insurance for the rest of your life. Get a low insurance group car for a few years. Learn to drive...

Think about it, your still learning. What the fastest you have driven so far? 40? 60 maybe? You might think you look impressive in a 172 but A, You will have no money left for petrol, B, You will sh1t youself as soon as you go over 70 and C, You will probably write it off.
