It does work/active between 1800rpm and 6500rpm so largerlouts correct about that part.
Or to be exact it advances the inlet cam by 16degs if the oil temp is above 80degs and the throttle is at 85% or above.

Thats fine mate, its your perogative after all. I think all people are pointing out is that theres being different and theres making your car look awful (in some peoples opinion) while increasing your insurance and making it next to impossible to sell on again.

I think its more due to thin paint and cost cutting than the way you drive. Ive only done 11k in 2 years in my Cup most arround Brum with about 1k of motorway milage. Ive got atleast 30 stone chips on my bonnet where my old mans BMW thats done 120k has 1 chip.
