Immobilser faults are commen on clios(faulty key heads). When it doesnt start what is your immobiliser light/led doing?(on instrument panel) EG,does it go out or flash really quickly.
The new components dont need running.Ive had it at work before where the aftermarket part is a superseded part and the ratio has been very slightly different but its the only part that was avaliable.
what have they done about about the valve timing.Have they just disregarded it and made up the loss of bhp with the throttle bodies. The variable valve timing is only active through mid range revs and only under certain conditions. How could they control this accuratly. The actual operation of the...
The 1.9dti engine in the clio mk2 phase 1 was pretty pathetic.1.5 dci 65bhp has no intercooler,85bhp has an intercooler and the 105bhp has an intercooler and uses slightly higher boost and deisal injection pressures to gain the extra bhp.
These self learnt parameters can only be fully reset using renault diag tools on the newer vehicles. There is also specific conditions the vehicle has to be run after first resetting to set up the fuel richness parameters. The computer only self learns/adapts to your driving style.
Mechanical but with a speed sensor on the instrument panel end of the cable. This is a speed sensor for the injection and you could tap into it for the speed signal for your sat nav.You should be able to pick up the reverse light feed from the large block connector behind the n/s inner sill trim...
The new shape clio is due for release sometime in 2005 but as off yet renault havent released any official pictures yet(although some unofficial pictures have been in some magazines)
The 182 wheels are just a bit wider so it wouldnt make any difference to performance although they are poss a different offset which may affect handling slightly.
Least your ok.Renault should pay for this,it is a new car after all.Get renault customer services number off your dealer. They are obliged to give it you it if your not satisfied.
The engine could probably be made to fit but you would need to swap most of the vehicles electrical/injection system as well due to the immobiliser and obd system. You couldnt use after market throttle bodys due to the variable valve timing is controlled by the renault injection computer.
It didnt need the oil changing at 6000miles.My gearbox is a bit harsh when changing gear but it is a 2l after all and doesnt feel any worse compared to other ones i have driven.Dont thrash it until its warmed up and always use quality engine oil.Mines done about 12000miles
About 63>4 with the engine fully warmed up.If the engine is cold it will limit at 6500 and the variable valve timing does not operate.fully Warm=80c>
I work at a main dealer and we havent got any pictures of the new 182 yet.The main difference will be the twin exhausts and the increase in bhp(although a 172 could be easily brought up to this bhp with a few minor modifications).I would have thought that most parts off the 182 would fit the...
