Is the person that the Sierra was overtaking not a witness? Or did they keep driving off as well? Some people on the roads nowadays really scare me, it seems theyre getting worse and worse.
If you can wait about 4months mate then Id certainly be interested! But, Im afraid not before then...
Yeah, always seems to be new thread posted every time I refresh!
See a lot of CTRs and a few Cooper Ss around in Exeter. Dont see many 172 or 182s but I suppose I see more 182s. The Mk1 172 seems to be the rarest of the RS...
Very Astra, 307 -esque. Think it looks okay, not very inventive.... but too big. All small cars are getting bigger and bigger now, that looks like a Megane to me!
Reminds me of the beginning of that film with Steven Seagal and DMX, where DMX and his fat friend go into some Supercar showroom, and the salesman is dismissing them until DMX pulls out a suitcase of notes. He then gos all street trying to win their affections, so DMX buys the car and gives the...
Ive been looking at the same thing myself mate, trying to work out whether I can afford Renault finance, but there is just no point unless you want nothing but a brand new car. As said above, take out a personal loan (which are pretty easy nowadays for a small sum of £10k) and pay a decent APR...
Yeah, Id suggest solenoids are knackered somewhere. I had the same problem in an old car that had central locking but wasnt remote. So Id turn the key and a minute or two later the car would just unlock. Came back from work one day to find my stereo and entire parcel shelf and speakers...
Wouldnt recommend getting a 106 simply to save on insurance though. VFM is the important factor and the odds are that the 172 will continue to depreciate over the next couple years, until you can pick one up for a few grand. The chances are that a £4000 GTi will still be worth £2500 or so in a...
Given the choice of Arctic and Racing, I prefer Arctic. Esp considering you have to pay extra for Racing. Saw a couple of 182s in Arctic in my Bristol Street dealer today, lovely.
If you have already reported it and the police have come back to you saying theyve not got enough info then can you not just keep your eyes peeled for the lady in your town and when you see her car, get the rest of her reg?
Dunno how these things work but isnt it worth a try to avoid having to...
lol! love it! Id just say to him how grateful you are that hes paying for it, after all, it is the father of the brides job, and then say that youve bee saving money and you think it would be good for the future of your family to get a nice, reliable (ahem) car, with warranty and all sorts...
That;s the very reason I havent yet booked a test drive, because I know that therell be no turning back after that and I just cant afford it yet!
I was in Renault the other day just talking to a salesman for ages about them and then he asked if I wanted to drive it, knowing fully well that I...
You say that, in your opinion, you dont get 85% of the torque from 2k revs, and then you say exactly....
Im confused!
From the brochure.... "...Maximum torque of 200Nm is achieved at 5250rpm, but 80% of that maximum is available from 2000rpm, giving flexibility you will appreciate whether...
I was just reading an old post and Friends and family was mentioned in relation to getting a cheaper deal from Renault dealers. Anyone know how this works, and how I (who has no connections within Renault) can take advantage!?!

I am a relative virgin to the whole fast car fanatic style, but I have well and truly fallen in love with the 182, having only ever seen one in the flesh once, and never having driven it.
Now, obviously I am going to test drive before I decide to buy one, but the reason I have fallen in love...
lol, am I guessing that University have left you with more than just a great mind and job prospects..... Thats how my debts built up, £12k of student loan....superb...
Why, I didnt think of that... going to my Renault dealer! :p
Nah, big time debt to sort out first, then a new place in the summer, and then my 182.... around next Christmas. :(
Incidentally, the only 182 my local dealer had was a test drive one that was locked away in the compound...
Chinquecento Sporting, in bright yellow with a centre exit exhaust and big black sun strip! I was, the man! Was good to me though, just a washer bottle and clutch cable needed replacing.
For 4/5k you can get a really clean 106 GTi mate, ranging from a T upwards.
So... what kind of initial deposit, monthly payments, and final payment would I be looking at if I wlaked into my Renault dealer tomorrow and said I wanted to buy a 182?
