I would say that, whilst the car can take a ragging, you may want to refrain for a while until you know the car mate. If youre shocked by the oomph it has then be careful!

The showroom cars will get brushed against and little kids with chocolate hands all over them mate, theyre there to be sat in and touched and scratches are naturally going to occur. Im sure your brand new one wont have any of that... if so then dont accept!

The Willy is an obvious step up but Id be a bit worried that the essential car is a bit similar and you might get a bit bored fairly soon. I could be wrong but a complete change may keep your excitement a bit longer than sticking with the Clio?
