I reckon £195 not that bad seeing as Hillpower colour coded plenum for the 172 is £120. Genuiune BArbon Fibre is expensive. Would be interested in one for the 172.

Is best on the motorway. I sed to get around 47mpg on the motorway, overall I used get around 41-42 out of both of my 1.2 16vs. The 1.2 16v is more economical than 1.2 8v in the Mk3 I think.

Have come across the odd good RTE. These had both owned a 172 so were knowledgable of the faults!!!

I found this at one dealership, I went there to buy a yellow 172. It was minter. They wouldnt entertain me so, I complained to the Managing director and called in at the dealership, after I got my 172 else were. Sometimes wonder about that yellow 172....

I ran both my 1.2 16vs in and had no mechanical problems. My 172 was run in by the salesmen.... Say no more....:@

Suppose the only thing you can do is take it as high as you can. Havent had any electrical faults with mine, One of the few things I havent had to endure!!!

Had the springs on my 1.2 16v (They were Freds old springs) and now got 172 springs. Quality seems good with no rusting and handling wise Ive been impressed. My mate had G-max on his 1.2 16v and they are definitley better than those.

I like the look of the C2 GT and its a definite step up from 1.2 16v. You could get a MK2 172 for that money easily and choose carefully and check with renault as to what warranty work its had done already and you could end up with a mint one. Thats how id go about buying a second hand 172.
