SP50 is the code for speeding on a motorway. Dont know why cause Sp30 is for speeding in a 30 zone. Dont really understand them to be honest. Just know theses are right cause Ive had both.

Yesterday in the heat my 172 steering wheel has bubbled. The grips have expanded and the rubber grips have seperated from the leather. Anyone know whether this will be covered warranty???The car is UK sourced and is 2yrs old on the 30th.

I just used self tappers. They had not probs screwing into the plastic. Dont think you need to use a drill.

I got mihelin exaltos 19/45/16. Theyre superb.

Not too keen on wigan. Think they got sick of seeing me when I first got the 172. You know its bad when the women on the desk knows your reg and surname. Always use dutton james in St Helens now. Can usually get booked in the same week and are cheapest for service.

The hillpower kit for the 1.216v looks good, but no noise really. My mates got one.

Wot about gettinga magnex or an aftermarket as opposed to a custom made. Will still be cheaper and better quality than the renault job.

Just checked theyre actually at £62.70 a corner at the moment. Got mine a few weeks ago. Toyos int the same size are £40 and Goodyear GSD2s are £77. So overall still a bargain in my opinion.

Got them off mytyres.net. Think theyve gone up a £1 since. Thats 195/45/16, standard Mk2172 size. Then got them fitted at a local tyre place.

I got exaltos on mine. Paid £59 a tyre plus £7 fitting. Got them alround and they are superb.

I thought about these when I changed mine a few weeks ago and people didnt give them good comments. Got Michelin Exaltos instead for mytyres.co.uk and got to say they are really superb in all conditions. Best tyre Ive had and Ive had Contis, Toyos and goodyearGSD3s.

The contis just arent upto varied conditions. In the dry, hot weather, apart from the screeching when they loose grip they were fine. It was when it was cold damp/wet etc that they didnt. If youve not tried anything else then it would be difficult to know whether they are good or not. Ive gone...
