It is most probably down to a build up carbon deposits in the exhaust system. If you spend alot of time sat in traffic in town/cities it slowly builds up, then when you go hairing off down the motorway and you get to use all 7,000 revs or so, it all comes belching out the back. Completely...

Its currently fast enough based on my driving experience and age. I get in it, give it some stick at the weekend and it still requires respect even after owning it for 2 years. Thats one thing I learnt about the Cup. I will go on to something with more power when Im 25, but for now, its just...

heatshield on linkage... lol I was about to type "let me guess - only 5th gear affected?" This comes from hitting HUGE puddles/aka lakes, at high speed... oooooopsy! Get under car - get someone else to move the gear lever into 5th, youll see where its catching and simply bend out of the way...

has it had a service? Maybe an oil change and filter change will do it the world of good.

When I was 19 I had my Cup, £3,000 a year for insurance...

Obviously quite a few variables like how long youve been driving, where you live etc etc, but expect to pay anywhere between £2,000 and £3,000

Cup is almost as quick as a Mk1 V6 - depends what your after fella.
