Ah, I have this kit too.. its awesome.
Activate Bluetooth on phone, get near car it connects - sorted..
I messed around with mic position etc.. and found best on the A-Pillar.. switch is next to the headlight adjustment on Williams.
Glad you like it!
I dont agree that the 182, performance wise is better than the Williams.. the Williams always comes out on top in reviews.. against the 172, 182, V6 etc.. it also came 6th in the 10 best cars of the last decade (Evo).
Ok, I know I said Id have a 182 over a Williams - and I would.. but only...
Dunno, could try Renault.. but they were only used on J regs..
Why do ya want some anyway? They wont fit in with anything else on the car? They were on the interior on the J regs.. so they didnt look too bad!
Woaaaaaaaaah. Stop!
Nothings being sold at the moment.. hehe. Im just asking a few casual questions.. as ya do at 1:50am on a Friday Night/Saturday Morning! :D
Ive searched but these are different type of questions, so here goes..
1. Would you do it again? Say you sold your car for some reason, got another RT say (or 16v, depending).. would you get a GTT conversion again? Or do something different?
2. Servicing, I know oil changes need doing...
Oh, I guess you could smooth it in.. but I was told when I asked, that it wouldnt be great.. as when the car flexes the fibreglass skirts wouldnt and theyd crack? Looked ok tho on a car I saw with it done!
To be honest.. and this is only my opinion, so dont jump on me.. heh.
If I had the choice of two cars, 182 or Williams.. and I could afford either, Id have a 182.
Well, I had a dash screen and it did my head in.. moving it all the time to stop theifs.. unless you get it mounted properly all in the dash etc.. Id definetly look at a motorised one..
My screen is sat here.. doing nothing because it just annoyed me all the time, heh.
depends what motor ya use?
Heh..
I had a stupid quick motor.. like, just got it for fun.. and I couldnt let it fully wind up on a track.. just got stupid speed, heh. Was fun tho.
Standard motors (27 Turn I think..) are not slow.. but they are the slowest I guess.. dunno what they are in...
All part of the fun.. once you strip it down a few times, youll be able to do it without instructions!
I took my time originally.. enjoyed it.. did a bit at a time.. its good fun!
But then, when some lad in a 1.2 Nova beats it down the twisties, theyll think theyve beaten a proper Williams.
:p Disclaimer: Its a joke? OK?!?!?! :D
I used to race em properly etc.. is cool.
Used to spend hours taking it apart, cleaning it etc.. (used to race indoors on foam tyres mainly so used to get really dirty).
Was good fun, heh.
I might put the Phase1/2 16v differences on my website.. makes a good reference.. same as my Williams page with the differences between the 1, 2 and 3.
Differences between Ph1/Ph2:
Side Strips - Ph1 are thin, Ph2 are bigger and rounded.
Ph1 16v Badges are around the indicator, Ph2 16v Badges are on the bump strips.
Boot Strip - Plain Black on Ph1, Ph2 is larger and is black/grey/see through almost
Ph1 has smaller, "triangle almost"...
I used to.
Daipac, if I had a 172, Id have an in-dash motorised screen.. mine was a dash top screen (as it was my only choice with the Mk1 Radio angle and I needed Touchscreen/VGA).. and it got annoying removing it everytime I got out of the car..
Its not possible. Imagine how big the database would have to be, itd have to have EVERY single stretch of road in it.
It only knows the limit of the road where the camera is cus they check it when they check a location..
Anyway, you should know the limit of the road, heh.
Bonus Accelerator I guess..

Or like Norwich Union, if you have Pass Plus, they give you 1 NCD to start with or something, heh.
