Not that im advocating this-
Could he not pay the ring bill, tow it home then abandon it or burn it or something like that to claim on the insurance......
S
Hum I slightly disagree with that-
the OP mentions 3 people saying bad feedback- you dont generally get bad feedback from 3 people if your honest & upfront- 1 person maybe- ...
If a dealer has a bad reputation they get that from cutting corners & not replacing parts with the correct items-...
I would add my 2 penith-
How much do you ACTUALLY value yours for-
The Clio is overpriced on an 02 plate- your looking close to 3-3.3 ish-
With that in mind it depends what you thinkl you will get for yours-
I would want a swop + £300/400 cash to be happy-

wheels & Suspension-- dark grey alloys + susp is 1 cup pack- ( if not you will have silver wheels-)
The other is spolier & splitter-
The below pic is cup spoiler-
if you have a shallower lower one its non cup-

Well what I would say if you do go down that road you ideally need to see receipt of the following-
FULL Aux belt kit ( not just the belt) FULL Cambelt kit & poss water pump if required-
Thats around ~ £250/275 all in IIRC- before labour etc-
Steve
Dont buy the car unless you get the belts done- If he says hes doing them its BS-
Think about when you come to sell it- & someone asks about the belts- your answer- previous owner did it himself...
I wouldnt.......---- Knock £400 & take it to somewhere thats local specialist wise- they are...
If its a girl I wouldnt advise getting a cup MAYBE she meant one with cup packs-
Girls will nearly always want the toys-
Cup = No Zenons, poverty seats,Manual Air conditioning, pants steering wheel- - Slightly quicker-
NON Cup= Zenons, alacantra seats, Climate Control & a slightly better...
Hey mate-
You have a bloody expensive exhaust on the car IIRC-
Get a standard LOW MILEAGE one ( try & get one below 30k off a salvage vehicle INCLUDING CAT)
the money you pay + fitting should be less that what you sell your decent one for IIRC its a KTR one-
take it to JMS-
Steve
Cheers Dave-
PM ME if you have any Enquiries-
Im surprised noone has mentioned colours on the cups-
If you want a 182 cup you are restricting yourself to Racing blue & Inferno or mondial blue on the 172 cup....
If your buying a cup to gain that extra bit if speed & are not interested in...
I Know its slightly against your poliscy-
I would not tell insurance, cancel the policy & get money back on that-
Then strip the car to the nuts & bolts- Im sure you could get at least 1-1.3k parts-
Wheels ~ £250 Interior, engine etc etc-
At the end of it I doubt you will be to far away from...
Thats a VERY good dealer price on a 55 plate & low mileage-
Obviously the belts arent done- but still-- Id would listed that for 6500/6600- but I would have had the belts done-
S
Indeed-
Caliper £150 + an exhaust - worst case £250 for performance or £120 fitted of a second hand standard unut-
Hardly bank busting!!!!!!- when buying an older car ideally you should always provision a couple of hundred spare for essential maintenaince-
S
The price I quoted was for a good 182-
Least popular colours ( in terms of volume & desirability) are silver & artic blue-
Black & racing blue add value to the car- maybe 3/400 to the car these days-
You cant get red unless you buy a trophy- Inferno is orange & sits in the premium price...
You can see the aux belt without any covers off-
I would take it to a specialist & pay for labour to get the covers off to get confirmation of what the belts look like- if they are brand new you will know instantly & Vice versa...
S
there was one today in bexleyheath shopping centre-
10 plate -- 10995-
Was red with those GASH graphics....-- Inside is quite perky although there no climate control-
Worst thing about the car is the wheels- utterly Pish...
Wasnt impressed really-- was told by the rep its replaced the...
