Lee have you thought about a wax/sealant that has UV protection in it to assist with the fading? I have some mezerna full molecular jacket (FMJ) which is durable at least more than zymol. I will be getting some sample pots in a few weeks, if...
I requested one on the Renaultsport website, they are then sent out by the dealer of your choice. I should have chosen one other than Birmingham!!!
Luckily I got a CD while at a RenaultSport Track day. Very good it is to.

Its probably just a genuine mistake as the VIN number is tied to each car on the system. They dont just stick a plaque on any car, they are done in build order.
I remember this one coming up a while ago. Tom has one of the earliest 182s in the club and he had the old grill arrangement, mine was a Mid 2004 car and had the blue dot.
Now I have neither, just a large light. lol

Its the other way around mate. The little grill was on early ones and 172s, the little blue dot came on later 182s. They started appearing around...

Looks lovely !!.....and you have a matching T-shirt too by the looks of it ;)
Good lord woman you have good eyesight. How can you see I had red t shirt on? Used to looking for reflections in ebay ads? ;) I had my old free from work Twin...
Looks like next on the cleaning shopping list is some decent sealant then.
This car has already been treated to new mf cloths, wash mitts, water magnet and wheel brush.
Looking good mate. Didnt you post some over on the Renaultsport forums too?
Id better make sure I buy a worse handling car next time for fear of large repair bills in 3 years time. ;) Like I keep cars more than 18 months. lol
One thing the Trophy does have going for it over the rest of the range, like the Cup, is that its different and not so appealing to the main...
I know this might sound odd, but Im sure my read bumper sits a little further back.
Just found the pictures I took the day I collected the 182. It sat badly even then!
Heres a couple of my Trophy ones, very nicely fitted: http://www.leemather.plus.com/images/Trophy/trophy7.jpgPic1 http://www.leemather.plus.com/images/ZymolTrophy/cleantrophy08.htmlPic2
And my old 182, these are with the original exhaust and how it left the factory...
Yeah I noticed that. I dont think its because its a Trophy though
My 182 exhausts sat too low and stuck out beyond the bumper. When they fitted a new system that was even worse, yet the new 182 in the show room was perfect, just like the one on my Trophy is. Dave182s is too close to his...
Unfortunately for me my car is my daily transport too, so its out in all weather. Luckily its undercover all day and garaged at night though.
I was tempted to get some of the Meguiars #21 sealant. I think Ill invest in some in a few weeks time.
Thanks for that mate.

Looks great Lee, being as you dont like waxing are you not tempted to use something a little more durable than the Zymol?
See this is where Im lost. I have no idea whats durable and whats not. But I dont think any product lasts 6 months...
Cheers Chris, I think its up to around 1500 at the moment. Its had a couple of days off with me not being well in the week.
Need to get some touchup paint too as its already picked up some chips, most likely from me small off at Oulton. lol
I had a 172 and 182 both with Xenons and they were nice. They projected a nice white light and looked attractive, but they dont really illuminate the road any better than standard headlamps.
The Trophy headlights are fine and light the way with no problems.
Plus of course, Xenons are...
Cheers Tom.
Ive never tried it. Im not big into my waxing. I like to look after my cars and keep them clean but thats as far as I go. Ive been impressed with the Zymol so far, but to an untrained eye like mine they all seem to do a good job. I used it on the 182...

Of course, but Im not waxing your car. ;)

2nd link id standard 182 lee without CUP packs
I should have clicked the other pictures. Kinda gives it away. Doh.
Highly likely, I noticed after I posted, the same advert a few pages on which was for the Trophy.
Of course there is always the possibility the dealer thinks its available in other colours, you know what they are like.

Second car. ;)
Ill do inside tomorrow, and also mist some water over it and buff it off.
It was pretty clean so it had a quick wash and dry, HD cleanse then hand waxed with Titanium wax. Took just shy of 4 hours I think. At one point sweat was dripping off my nose. lol
Ive got all the bits I need at the moment thank mate. Even got the wheel brush.

<FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #407db6">i know this is a silly question but what spoiler comes on the trophy cos noticed you have got a clear brake lens!
Its a Mk2 V6 spoiler.
Thought Id put it for your attention seeing as not many others will appreciate the time and effort that went into preping and waxing the car today.
I hate doing it, but at least it will protect the so prone to fading red paint a little more. Im totally done in now.
Some pics of the...
