Get it through the MOT as cheaply as possible. With second hand parts on here it'll probably only be £100 or so,

No miracles, it's usually part of an end of line production quality test.
Engine will be connected to a dyno, checked for faults, imperfections, air leaks, make sure it puts out the power it should.
You'd be surprised how quickly they can put an engine through 300 miles etc at different...
New car and new engine are different things. Most new cars will have been run in by manufacturer, where as a freshly rebuilt engine needs different treatment.
If you're in Houx, you just need loads of extension leads.

Well, we've done about 3k miles in it now and it's been faultless! Did Manchester and back a couple of weeks ago to get Nick's new Cup and got out feeling as fresh as a daisy.
No other modifications have taken place yet, but I wouldn't rule it out. Saying that, it's too good to ruin Failsport...
