Captain_clio, you must give it some serious stick. The worst I ever got was 37mpg but usually 41. I get around 30-32mpg out of the 172, have managed 34.5 as a record.
How old is you dynamique. My mate had similar damage to his extreme it is 52 reg. Side airbag, front damage, suspension, and a new roof skin. It was touch and go but they have repaired it. If it is more than a year old I would think they would write it off. If its less then maybe not!!!
Cheers for that. Been wondering for a while about that. Was gonna order some alloys this week, however, goona wait and see what tempts me at the French CAr show two weeks on Sun.
Dont forget that the 60mm drop is from a dynamique not a 172. Anyone know the difference between a 172 and a dynamique in hieght?? Clearly the Dyn ist higher but how much???
Ive found Arnold Clark to be quite good. Had a few issues with the car on delivary, but theyve since been sorted. Got a good deal, they were easy to deal with, kept me informed, and the items I asked to be fixed got fixed first time!!! Which is good for renault. Overall pretty impressed with...
Daz, that price is the rims with no tyres!! I thought this was good as generally with tyres theyre selling for £250.
Paul, How much are 195/40/17 tyres a piece??? It was your thread that made think of staying on 16s.
Was gonna get my 172 rims refubed at £40 a rim so £300 for a new set...
Went to my local alloy wheel dealer. Hell give me £200 notes for my 172 rims. I thought this was a good deal considering they are slightly kerbed. Its gonna cost £300 notes for me to put Speedline Turinis on (16 inch.). Was gonna go for this but am having doubts. Isnt very original.
Anyone...
Its not really the supply date that determine the number of locks, its the build date, the 03 spec comes with clear indicators and no drivers lock, however my local dealer has a cup in and this has a drivers lock, it will be supplied on an 03 plate, but must have been built in 2002.
Hmm, Its just I remember when I collect my first clio from new it had a stamp in it of the supplying dealer and the customers expected mileage and the due date of the safety check. Now I know the safety checks been scrapped, but surely there should be some stamp of the supplying dealer. I know...
Looking through my service handbook, I cant find a stamp for the pre delivary service. Also I dont seem to be able to find a place for one to go. Were should it be ???
This really important as the car is a uk originated car and I cant see anyway of proving this without the stamp????
Yeah was a good day, I had too leave early cause off work. Gutted I missed meeting you all at Birchwood (I went too Burtonwood:oops: and by the time i got there it was too late to get to Birchwood.) So missed out on meeting everyone except Brun. No club sticker yet, am gonna get it sent off...
Its definaltley the best way to go about it is to sell privatley then buy privatley. But with the finance it wasnt possible for me to sell my extreme privatley. You defiantley got a bargain. 10.5k with sat nav is a good price!!!
I paid 11500. Dealer Demo 8mths old uk car, Mint. No hastle with the Px. Its in Mint condition (Now ive made them replace the seat cover). Had 5k on the clock. The lowest the dealer could go on a Cup was 12100. 172s at renault main dealers seem to be a little pricey: I know I could have bought...
Wont the last two years of the three years warranty be lost. Im sure it says that to qualify for the last two years the car must be serviced by amain dealer as it is a dealer warrantly???
Have to disagree. You can usually get more money private. Asa guide I Px my Extreme 52plate, 12k on clock got 6.5K Was offered between 6and 6.5k. Think Id have got 7k private as it was mint, no scrathces, no dents and most importantly according to the salesmen no stains on the seats!!! Px for...
Yeah Cyclone Blue Extreme. Airabg and seat cost is over £1k to start off with. Awaiting engineers report from Renault. He still has no courtsey car!!!! Glad I paid the extra with directline for the garanteed courtsey cover
This should be a news flash: Renault exceed expectations. After being told three days they have done the job list in one day:D.
Roamer, the drivers seat cover was peeling/cracked on the lumber area on the drivers seat. you could see stitching that wasnt visible due to it cracking along the...
Dropped my car off at renault, theyre having it till at least wed morning. With a rather long list!!!
· Replace roof seals on both sides surrounding plastic trim.
· Boot wont shut properly
· Airbag warning light perminatley on
· Replace drivers seat cover
· Trim loose on drivers door...
They seem to be really good, however, a little slow. My mate has had to wait 4 days for them to sort the estimate, now waiting for renault insurance to get someone down there to take a look. You wont see his in the body shop, more likley at the rear, as it isnt gonna be repaired in my opinion...
Not really related, but on Fri my mate stuff his Clio Extreme into a ditch. Its gone into Dutton James for the estimate (think it will be a right off), Spotted your stripped out car being repaired!! Did you end up paying for the chasis repairs????
