You need to take the key off the key ring. Then slide the top, you can put a can put another key length ways in the whole for the keyring to lever it. The battery is held in by 4 small clips and thses seem to weaken after regular dropping. I had this on my first clio as I had all my work keys...
Ots should be the same price as a 12k as it is an A service accotding to the service hand book. Its the 36k which should be more expensive as its a B service.
Ive got apex 40mm. Ive had the 1.216v versions on both of my clios and have been impressed by the quality. 40mm looks nice and gives a much better turn in, in my opinion. The wheels sit in the arches nicley. The rides is obviously a bit more bumpier, but in turns of hanlding is much improved...
The price for the top grill is of a non-172. The price for a 172 grill is around £150+vat. I enquired at my lcoal renault dealer.
Also, I think some of the other prices are without vat.
I know for a fact that renault specialist breakers in accrington have an interior off an extreme as my mate was goona have the rear seat cause of a sig burn. Their number is in the contacts page.
There is a technical note for modified pulleys and pretensioners. This is what i had done abot 4weeks ago. It will get steadily worse so get it booked in ASAP.
Hmm strange, It has defintiley stood up well considering. I should clarify that im not a fan of people making flase claims as it does bump up everyone elses insurance. However, in some cases a claim is appropriate when there is genuine injury and significant inconvience.....
To be fair with that sort of impact, you would naturally get a sore neck/whiplash injury in the majority of cases, hes already said he had a bloody nose and burns from the airbag so he would be fullly justified in making a claim.
lol @ typo:)
You have to be careful GR. The manufacturors warrenty is dependent on you using renault parts i.e yr1, Yrs 2+3 are dependent on you getting it serviced at a renault dealer- the dealer warrranty. If you dont get it serviced by a main dealer then you will loose yrs 2+3.
Ive had a few minimal promblems, the most major being cambelt pretensioners which were a technical revision. Not had the 4k rattle, done 12k. Got the 12k service for £117 which was less than my mums Ford KA to service!!!! Mosat of my problems i put down to poor pre-delivary inspection, though...
Morbius, most of the clios have the same wing mirror as all of my clios have had electric heated mirrors the same so it doesnt have to be off a 172. It can be off a black dynamique/extreme or any clio after June 2001 with an electric mirror, the benefit of black being that it comes in other...
Found it., though, wiv my 10% discount card for al renault parts it wont be that much cheaper. Im not sure either about the carbon look, might look ok on a black 172 though....
Thatll be the oval, just smaller than the magnex. Nearly went for it as they had it in stock at demon tweeks. Didnt buy one in the end, still on my list though.
£12500 sounds good for a uk supplied, is that a renault dealer??? If so then the Px price doesnt seem bad as you got a substantial discount on list. I bet if you went to motorpoint and got an import they wouldnt be able to match that deal. I have no regrets in paying a little extra for a uk...
Ive done 6k in 10 weeks. MY Girlfriends car has been off the road for 8 weeks so mines done a lot of mileage. Had 5.5k, now has 11.5k on it, just over twelve months old so not too worried.
Why does the 172 have coloured brush marks all over various parts of the engine/ car. I think this is on all of them as i looked at a few before buying as i was paranoid that the first car i saw was a collection of spares from a scrapyard!! lol. Does anyones not have this????
