Tyres are around £100 a pop too, if you need a reason to bargin.....
And yes, i am a lazy c**t!!! I 'may' take a few snaps before the FA cup...... I find 197's too hard to capture, always look 100% better in the flesh
Yep, apparenty 2nd to 3rd is the give away, but it will be still be under warranty anyway.......
Pics to follow in a few weeks lol!! I aint no photographer/pic wh0re ;)
Satin Black Speedlines ftw!!!
You'll love it mate. Just been braaap'in around in mine before, once warm they are a riot tbh!!!
Oh remember what i said about any gearbox crunching, though take it steady anyway, the gates are very close togeter between gears. Took me a week to et used to it anyway!
As said per PM, you MUST make sure the AC works, there seems to be a handfull out there (meggys too) that imo renault cant fix. (mine being one) Its cars with Climate that seem worst affected....
Also with the age of car (as pm convo) i doubt they will be new enough to have the Recaors. As...
How do vinyl wraps work? Ie, i know its a plastic film applied to the car (like Sky use on their vans etc) but is it cut to the cars shape before hand? How is it applied?
Wouldnt bother imo. If you must, a foam replacement itg. A soon as you start messing with IK etc, it'll introduce flat spots and will need remapping. I just change the paper filter every 6k or so :)
I had a Milltek and a BTG. BTB by a mile, the Milltek semed jigged 10mm out, never fitted, no matter what me and the kevs at Birchdown did to it. Sounded nice though
Nope. My Cup is currently having ITB's fitted at AW. Now they did a BEFORE mods rr session it ran 190......75k, Maxogen Grp N, matched inlets de cat. All RR sessions should be taken with a pich of salt of course, but i reckon it was a good 185bhp..... Ben would have nothing to gain giving an...
What happened to the Cup i went against then? Bearing in mind i've had one also? Where do you 'race' 5 days a week?
Also when i had my old 182, why did i not beat my mate in his 197 when they were both standard?
I'm not blinkered by the 'in' peeps on here. I've had all three, and know all...
Give me chance i'm posting one handed here, i'm w**king over evo's artical about the Trophy..... a car that finished production 4 years ago.....;) Ive never 'raved about the handling', as tbh i can't remember what it feels like in a standard one. All i know is, for me its a better car, quicker...
The step up is refinemant for me......
They are better out the box as an everyday car. Done. People rave on here about how slow they are, more fool them ;)
Its not conclusive though is it? Look at all the vids of track days, the 182's are hardly in a different league are they? Where do you stop? Williams is a better drivers car than the 182, 205 is a better drivers car than a Williams....... Yadda yadda yadda.... splitting hairs tbh
We know haw mileage sensitive all RS's are. Did the Cup and Trophy have the same mileage on their engines?. My bet is 197 tight as a nuns snatch, Trophy well run in........... So, not conclusive?
Next ;)
Ok think of it this way. If the steering feel was so bad, why did Renaultsport stick with the double axis setup, when they could have just widened the track, and knocked up the same set up as the MK2 (like the non RS MK3's run), ie single wishbones etc? The double wishbone set up must provide...
How is it that all 197 threads turn into a Trophy thread?
I swear to god warren has a 197 thread alert on his laptop........
Repeat after me, the Trophy is DEAD (deal with it;))
;)
tbh its a good job the 197 doesnt have the prehistoric set up of the MK2..... ah that clunking squeeking is now a distant memory, as to is the low speed scrubbing on full lock.....win tbh!!
And no, the very reason is because the 197 rack is electric, not hydaulic like the mk2's, so thus looses...
