The oil can take aaages to get up to temp especially when there is 0degC air rushing through the radiator.. (which I'm guessing it is, in Glasgow). Even though the water temp is correct, it doesn't mean the oil is too. I'm not sure if the setpoint for the limiter runs from coolant or oil temp...

Just what I'd want sitting next to me in a crash.. 160psi tank ready to break free and remove my face.

Are u sure its not just that there is hot water vapour coming out into (what is recently) a cold environment. Did you own the car in summer?

Iirc.. Remove rubber cap. Undo nut and washer. Place strut brace on the top of the rubber turrets (cap down, so to speak) Replace nut and washer.

I've posted in another thread but I really need an answer asap! He has also traced an internmittent indicator fault to corrosion of the rear light wiring, saying it needs a new section of loom and 2 new light units. I though it would just be the relay.. Thanks!

My grandad has just aken his car (ph1 1.6 auto) into a garage. I usually take him to birchdown but I was on holiday and he was impatient. ANYWAY. The guy says one of the abs rings has gone therefore it needs a new driveshaft. I said 'I don't think its actually attached to the drive shaft on...

Any comments on the supposedly squidgy sidewalls? I have a pair on the back but its quite hard to tell the difference.

I can't fault PE2s (if you can get them!).. the jury is still out on PS3s. I'd quie like to try V12s in the summer though..

I wouldn't go near it. Having said that my grandad has had his car serviced every year he's owned it, yet no service history for the last 40k.
