HELP! ABS ring info needed

I've posted in another thread but I really need an answer asap!

My grandad has just aken his car (ph1 1.6 auto) into a garage. I usually take him to birchdown but I was on holiday and he was impatient.

ANYWAY. The guy says one of the abs rings has gone therefore it needs a new driveshaft. I said 'I don't think its actually attached to the drive shaft on mine' to which he replied 'different cars mate'. (he doesn't know I have a clio..).

Is he trying to rip him off?..

He has also traced an internmittent indicator fault to corrosion of the rear light wiring, saying it needs a new section of loom and 2 new light units. I though it would just be the relay..

Thanks!

Pretty certain abs rings aren't attached to the drive shafts....

Tell him he's an arseh0le for trying to con an old man and be on your merry way.
