I am wanting to swap my renault battery for a "normal" car battery. IE do away with the screw type terminals to the clamp type. As the battery is about a third cheaper to replace.

My nearside headlamp has been fogging quite badly and on closer inspection the lamp glass is very loose. How is this ment to be attached to the headlamp body as the offside appears to be bonded to the body. Mark 1 Phase 3 Clio.

Found a loose pink wire hanging down from the nearside loom, under the headlamp area. It was long enough to drag on the floor, which is where i found it. Mark 1 Phase 3 Clio. Any ideas what this wire could be?

What has anyone done to convert the postive leads on the mark 1 clios to fit onto a "standard" battery terminal? What parts did you require without cutting existing leads? Is there a conversion kit as such for this job?

I wasnt meaning that stands need to be prefect. I liked the stand this year and that is my first year. I would love to know what the "special" and "perfect" stand means. I like when a club is a club and the stand has cars, and members are enjoying the day.

No, i just dont want to see CS to become stuck up, and its not all about the stands. Sure nice cars, but im sure a lot of people go for the experience and see what others do.

It was DK who i was replying to, sorry for the confusion. I dont mind a "non" special stand, i think CS is more a member club, rather than "ohh look at me, ive got xyz, your other brand is inferior". Stuck up club is not CS, and i would hate to see it change to be a stuck up club.

A new 100 car excellent stand wouldnt fly with me, personally i think that excludes a lot of members.

We were the life of that pub, im surprised they didnt call the police as we normally get on meets. Would have been nice to get a team picture, just thought of that now :(

Yes i did, only as i was leaving (the one that roped foxy over to the fence and i got a sticker) I went to the admin tent too and talked for a bit.
