no same place, the bend is a bit tighter , the reason he is having probs is the ecu, as the mrk 2 has the uch and the mrk 1 does not, he could solve this by using omex and a few mods to the inlet, but ik fits all of em
if u want to fit a after market i/k then yes it will fit! no problems u would have trouble if u wanted to fit the standard mrk2 box on urs but, a new i/k will fit!
m8 i have a new mid section for sale, it s a devil one, stright through made of stainless steel, will last for ever aned will jsut bolt on, want about 90 for it, its 2 weeks old btw
whhhheeeyyyyy ! fixed mine, new gaskets n rubber o ring from renault, worked first time, i thing the seal between the t/b and the o ring were the bigest faulters
cheers rich, im doing mine on sunday morning now. maybe if ur rear bolt is not tight it may not be sealing the o rings tights that why u have a little air leek, was any of ur pipes blocked

if u let the car run, then block the icv for a mo, whislt it is blocked, run your finger around it the join i can feel air gettin pulled in, but not enough to amke it idle at 3k!
