Hello Everybody - Im a newbie with a new 182 (BlackGold with Cup packs). Nearly all is going well - the car is great fun and a real drivers car etc etc. As I said nearly all - as well as the clunk from the front suspension (reported elsewhere on the forum) when reversing on full right lock as I drop the one inch off my drive kerb I have a tappety sound under accelaration. Its almost like a pinking sound (for those of you old enough to remember when cars did that) and Im wondering if anyone else has a similar experience - is it normal and should I worry? And yes I am running on Shell Optimax.

Mine does all of the above as did my 172. I just put up with them to be honest.
The tappety noise is very obvious when driving alongside a wall for example. Nothing to worry about though. They all do it. In fact I find it has a more metallic sounding noise than the 172 used to have.
