Mk1 Clio..
Ok, when Im going along slowly on bumpy ground, theres this awful knocking/rattling sound coming from the front of the car - it never used to do it!
First time I noticed it was going to York along that great road which is likely to shake anything out.. from then, its been getting...
5750.. or sometimes, when it feels like it, 5250 for some reason.. and even when its been running for an hour!
I have a Mk1, but it uses the same 1.2 8v engine as the new ones..
Mine gets hit lots. I like the sound too much. :)
Speiro, Difficult.. cus its like solid metal.
Ive given the job to my bodyshop bloke when he does a few more bits.. mainly because its a swine, and I want a proper neat job doing - with it all being sealed, etc.. I tried, and its very difficult, and when you do get it out, its all very messy...
Erm, drilling the tray? My cable just goes to the grommet from the battery - no drilling..
Trim takes a little longer.. best way I found, was lift trim up slightly.. then take the seatbelt bolt out.. then you can get it all fitted nice.. else youll have loads of problems getting the cable...
The inner skin on the back arch has a bump on it - that needs getting rid of.. it will catch..
195/45/16 are the same size as 195/50/15s.. mine catch there.. so 16s will! Unless you get the 195/40/16 and then you should be ok..
On the other hand, it depends on the offset, but it will catch...
SPI on a 1.2 Mk1, Phase3?
Sure it isnt a DIET engine? Mines a Phase3 1.2 and Im sure all of them are the DIET engine.. which they then used in the Mk2 Clios..
I have just a backbox one mine - Powerflow did it.
Good job, looks good, sounds good - and does everything I wanted (I didnt want catback, decat etc..)

Behind the glovebox!!!
Look in engine bay, behind battery - you can see it.. Im pretty sure its there on all...
Nothing, because it doesnt hit anything to crack.. or it shouldnt.
The lights dont get in the way cus the bonnet is moved forward to clear them..
Ive moved my bonnet forwards but now, it still catches, so the lights are having to be moved back.
I paid £44 a corner for Uniroyal Rainsports.. then got Tracking free to do a price match.
Toyos would have been £40.. 195/50/15s..
I found the Uniroyals, after the free tracking, were cheaper than I could buy from mytyres.net anyway.
