Re: iPhone "must have" apps?
I finally managed to sort the issues I was having with copilot (mainly struggling to get a gps fix). If I turn it on when the iPhone is connected to the headunit, it won't work. If I let it get gps fix before connecting to the headunit, works much better. Still gets...
Tbf, this isn't the first we've heard of quality issues with the seats. With the gallardo/amv8 you just jump in/out. If you don't have to take special care with those, no f**king way should you have to with a Clio!
No one seems to have mentioned that they are very similar weights as standard, so surely getting weight out of a ph1 would be more productive. Cable throttle feels very different. And ph1's always make more power from mods like cams itb's etc.
I have a ktec stealth, avoid. I'll post pics up later, bit it hangs very low. Badly designed for the ph1, I don't think they took the smaller rear bumper into account. Yozza stealth is very good quality and quiet.
Hardly difficult. Choose the visit pbucket option, copy the link, paste, voilà. Tomorrow I'm explaining how to use Velcro on trainers. Some of you may wish to bring a pen and paper for notes.
I've owned both. I prefer the ph1, but I don't mind when bits go wrong as I tend to uprate them at the same time. My brothers ph2 has much less go wrong. Ph2 also has the far better interior.
Suppose it comes down to common sense. I'd expect that at some point the suspension would require work (be that replacement or rebuild). I don't need that spelling out.
Pretty sure that in the 182 manual they don't explicitly say that the suspension will at some point need replacing.
In general, I doubt they wear out any quicker than normal 182 suspension, and I'm sure Renault would charge more for supply/fitting of standard dampers than the rebuilders charge for the Sachs.
If they needed rebuilding every 20k miles I'd still have them.
I genuinely don't get where people are coming from. Any suspension will require renewal/servicing. Did they all think it was magic suspension that would outlast the human race?
I nearly fell victim to this, as Renault didn't hold my hand and tell me when my tyres would need replacing, and the 1st fuel of tank was a scary experience I can assure you!
Fair enough, but a RB182 with sachs will depreciate more than a Trophy. Trophy value's have been pretty consistent for about 2 yrs now. You'd need the rear dampers as well as the fronts. The rears aren't exactly the same as cup dampers IIRC (although they are Renault parts).
Lol at so many people.
If the suspension feels the same, you have f**k all sensitivity. Novelty? How is a better riding, better handling car a novelty?
And double lol at it being designed as a track car. It was designed to be the ultimate road Clio, hence it still having compliance built...
