The dealer said he didnt know, but its been said its because the ariel is different and the larger spoiler hits it. On the continent this isnt a problem but over here they wont less us pedantic Brits have both as wed only moan.

I decided to go for the spoiler as Im a tart!! Ive got a map, and rarely go anywhere other than to and from work. lol If I could have had both I would have.

I think its more a case of you can sell it if you want, but you cant get another one. Staff are restricted to a limited number of cars per year.

Ive just got my order form out, added the figures and deducted 30% and it works out perfectly. 30% it is from Renault Birmingham. I believe Wolverhampton, Solihull and one more around here do the same price.

Its a silver one, what do you expect. ;) Give it a dam good thrashing, thatll liven it up a bit. It took mine almost 20k before it really got going.

I dont know if this is correct or not, but apparently Renault owned dealerships are able to offer a better price than franchise dealers.

Yes, I got 30% off. I paid less than that with Metallic paint, Cup spoiler/splitter and cup suspension. :D From a main dealer. The sales guy reckons the staff are snapping them up with that sort of discount.

They took them out mid 2003 on all 172s Mike. 182s have them as an option. Cost cutting tight arses that they are. ;)
