Not all EU imports had them either. It was decided at the factory and seeing as they shipped over here either via Renault or an importer it was hit and miss. When I purchased mine not all of the new EU imports I looked at had the autochanger. Renault consistency!

Some of the later 172s had the autochanger removed!!! Renault saving a few quid here and there!!

Thats a dam good reason to use it if you ask me! As for the original question I cant really comment as Ive never used anything other than Optimax. Renault suggest 98ron fuel so I use Optimax.

I think y0z used the Sportline springs, but not on standard dampers. Its certainly not too low.
