Pink one is immobiliser, Mine came on after I changed an indicator bulb and it had a poor connection, removed and refitted the bulb and it went away, it was no coincidence because as soon as I removed it again the light came back on lmao. But if yours come on and off intermittently then it could...
As above, you will need to wriggle it as you pull up, but the clip you see is the only one its just a bit tight. I had mine up today as I changed my PAS fluid and cleaned the reservoir and filter, it was BLACK! lol
With it being French if your talking cylinder numbers then no1 starts at the flywheel/gearbox side of the engine and no4 would be the Cambelt side of the engine because the French like to do things backwards
This car wont have a choke ( in reply to an above comment) it will have a fast idle speed for a cold engine but this will drop when the engine warms up. Check for air leaks around the inlet manifold, i.e brake servo pipe, map sensor fitted correctly. Also try cleaning the throttle body to start...
I do quite a bit of work on these BMW Mini's and they aren't all that bad, sure they have there fair share of issues as do all other cars. Its just a case of keeping on top of the maintenance and servicing of the car. If you keep on top of it and service them regular (with oil flushes) then...
Throttle pedal stuck under the carpet? if its cable and not fly by wire then check the cable isn't caught or jammed on something :) (you will need to look under the bonnet)
Check that the coolant hoses (heater matrix hoses) under the bonnet that go into the bulk head are both hot, If one pipe is hot but the other is just warm while the engine is hot you will need to flush the matrix through, seen a few like these, when you flush the matrix out the water will be...
I only bought this car 2 weeks ago, but this is what I did today, Changed my front brakes, fitted a new clamp to the olive joint on the cat and also fitted a new fitting kit on the front of the cat(springs/bolts+fire ring) to sort an annoying exhaust blow. Removed the old locking wheel nuts(have...
Mileage means nothing sometimes ;) , I had a Saxo vtr previously with 160,000miles on the clock and it went very well (wasn't near standard though). I can say I've driven many high mileage cars that drive really well and some of the lower mileage ones that haven't had the same level of attention...
Contact a company called 'BBA -Reman' they are very good at what they do and will be able to look at your current ECU and make a decision whether it can be repaired or not, they should be able to supply a new one if its not repairable :) and should be much cheaper than the dealers
Lol I just put my flame suit on, I know pops and bangs are seen as chavvy, but I quite like the sound of a nice pop on gear change :o. What can I say I am a big kid, I wouldn't sit in McDonald's car park revving it though:rasp:, just one for me to enjoy when out on the twistys ;). Thanks for all...
Oh dear, are Ktec that bad? I haven't had any dealings with them myself, maybe I should get it set up/mapped on a rolling road and have the overrun added in aswell then, ktec sell them as two separate maps/files on there site.
This may be a daft question but if a bought a Renflash tool from Ktec racing and chose the remap file: Cat back exhaust system with panel filter (2) upon purchase, could I then add the Crackle map on top of that so in effect have the performance map and the crackle map on my ecu at the same...
