phase 2 have fly by wire throttle body. You would need bits off the phase 1 lump

Check it, it could be wet/damp. Maybe a drain hole is blocked.

Too big pipe work can lose you power. You need some back pressure on a N/A car. Its not so important on a turbo charged engine.
